Saturday, the first of June, was a very important day over here in Northern Ireland. It was the day that the Thoroughbred Sports Car Club NI (TSCCNI) ran it’s annual Cultra Hillclimb Event. Really well run event, many thanks to the TSCCNI for again making the day run without a hitch. Cultra is one of those events you can’t wait, once it’s over, for it to be run next year. Steeped in history, the Hillclimb event was conceived over 100 years ago. The TSCCNI has worked their hands to the bone in reviving this classic event.

Enough of the talking! I relished the chance to get the 40d back out again for this event. Really getting to know the camera well, and hopefully I get to shoot many more events with this camera. Coming home, I’d only taken a meager 700+ images, instantly cut down to 312 with some gung-ho deleting. I tried to space myself out over the track, there is no point getting 700+ images of the same corner! With some time dedicated to crossing over to the infield to have a look at some of the static displays.
Part of the infield display was a magnificent display of Porsches, all the way from the 70’s to the present day, very impressive to see a fleet of this size, all in tip-top condition.
The rest of my images are here on my Flickr
Thanks for looking, Alan.
